Daicy-Margot, Merengues Triptych for solo clarinet

Composer: Andrés Barrios (Venezuela)

Three Venezuelan Merengues written for solo clarinet by Andrés Barrios (Venezuela, 2000-2004).

The Venezuelan Merengue is a typical dance from the central area of the country that stands out by its asymmetric 5/8 time, which usually gives it a humorous character.

Dedicated to Daicy, the composer's wife, and Margot, her prosthetic leg.

Movements I - Daicy / II - Margot / III - Daicy-Margot

Collectable cover drawn by Andrés Barrios himself.
