Merengue Ucraniano

Description

Please, do not think that it is a dessert. The Ukrainian Merengue as opposed to a meringue, was written in 2020 for the clarinet alone by Andrés Barrios. It alternates elements extracted from the Ukrainian scale with the major scale using the most traditional elements of the Venezuelan Merengue, thus obtaining a curious and exotic piece of music that leads to a cadenza of improvisational character. It is true that it is not a dessert but it is a true delight that awakens that ancient gypsy element of our instrument. For better performance results, do not forget to pay attention to the character indications at the beginning of the piece.
